Guiyangdong Railway Station registers record-high passenger flow

Guiyang has welcomed legions of vacationers during the summer tourism season. Guiyangdong Railway Station has been operating more than 150 trains a day since early August, with total passenger arrivals and departures exceeding 1.1 million.

As of Aug 16, passenger flow had surpassed 60,000 for 13 days this month. Single‑day passenger volume topped 80,000 on Aug 9 and Aug 16, with Aug 9 hitting a record high of 88,000.

Faced with the surging passenger flow, Guiyangdong Railway Station builds on previous upgrading achievements, addresses pain‑points for travelers, and rolls out more service measures to fully enhance the passenger experience.

Since July 10, the station has deployed five additional volunteers at key outdoor spots for passenger guidance and inquiry services, while 20 volunteers inside the station maintain order. Volunteers have provided over 270 hours of service for travelers.

The station will keep improving its service quality, and accelerate infrastructure renovation and upgrading to deliver a safe, orderly, and pleasant travel environment for summer‑escape visitors.
