Daily passenger throughput at Guiyang airport tops 80,000

Guiyang, a city in southwest China's Guizhou province, has emerged as a popular destination for tourists nationwide due in no small part to it boasting an average summer temperature of just 22.3 C, allowing visitors to beat the heat while also reaping the rewards of travel.

Since the start of this year's summer travel rush, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport registered a total passenger throughput of 1.06 million from July 1 to 14.

The daily passenger throughput surpassed the 80,000 mark on five separate occasions — crossing this threshold earlier and more frequently than last year.

Endowed with exceptional ecological resources and diverse cultural and tourism offerings, Guiyang is attracting more visitors with each passing year. The city is transforming itself from a summer retreat into an ideal place to consider for long-term residence.
