Guizhou Jinqian Yuchun Tea Co, a State-owned enterprise located in the Gui'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone, has maintained stable production while expanding overseas markets and developing new tea products in the first quarter of this year.

The company reported a total tea output of 1,260 metric tons and a production value of 25 million yuan ($3.70 million), with products exported to multiple regions across Africa and Southeast Asia.

Inside the company's smart production workshop, automated processing lines are running at full capacity. In May, the company signed a 275-ton green tea export order worth $1.05 million, which is being shipped in batches to Morocco and other North African markets.

The company's daily production capacity remains stable at 12-15 tons, with a target output of 2,500 tons and an expected production value exceeding 60 million yuan in 2026. Meanwhile, it is accelerating the construction of its overseas marketing center in Morocco, which is expected to begin operations in July.

"Our exports are mainly focused on North Africa," said Liu Hui, the company's deputy general manager. "Since 2025, demand for green tea in markets such as Morocco has been rising, with over 95 percent of the tea sourced from China."

At present, the company has over 7,000 mu (467 hectares) of registered tea plantations and is also expanding into the new tea beverage supply chain, planning to supply 1,200-1,600 tons of raw materials annually.
