A distributed photovoltaic (PV) project at Guizhou Advance Rubber & Plastics Technology Co, under State-owned Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group, has now been connected to the grid and put into operation, providing clean energy support for production and business operations while promoting reduced costs and green development.
The project makes full use of rooftop space at the company's Jiuchang production plant by installing solar panels across existing factory buildings, thus maximizing the development of clean solar energy resources. The initiative allows for the efficient use of idle rooftop and land resources while expanding pathways for green energy development. Six inverters have also been installed to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the power generation system.
The project is expected to generate a total of 17.2 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity over its 20-year operating period, with an average annual output of 860,000 kWh. All of the green electricity produced will be used for the company's own production needs, helping reduce reliance on externally purchased electricity and continuously lowering energy costs.
Additionally, the project is expected to save the company between 230,000 yuan ($33,915) and 250,000 yuan a year.
