Guiyang SOE expands fresh produce supply network

State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group has continued to expand its fresh produce planting bases in recent years, arranging for farmers to grow vegetables that are directly picked at the planting base once harvested and transported to community-operated stores for sale. The entire process takes less than 12 hours, allowing residents to buy fresh, affordable, and safe agricultural products close to home.

"In the past, we relied on selling vegetables at local markets or waiting for buyers to come. Now, the group purchases our produce with stable orders and stable prices," said a farmer at the planting base. The farmers noted that joining the production bases has improved sales channels for agricultural products. Statistics show that in 2025, the group's fresh produce system sourced more than 21,700 metric tons of agricultural products, helping increase the incomes of over 75,000 farming households.

Meanwhile, the group has continued to improve its warehousing and logistics capacity by building a standardized cold-chain system with different temperature zones to ensure the freshness and safety of vegetables, meat, and other products. At present, 157 vehicles are meeting the delivery needs of community stores.

The group has already achieved full coverage of supply and price stabilization services across residential communities in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area. Moving forward, the group will continue optimizing its store network and improving both online and offline service systems, helping more farmers increase their incomes while enabling more residents to purchase high-quality agricultural products conveniently.
