State-owned Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group (GAIG) has used digital systems to integrate the entire supply chain covering planting, warehousing, logistics, and sales in recent years, enabling fresh agricultural products to be transported from farms to fresh produce stores in urban areas within just 12 hours.
At the group's affiliated vegetable planting base in Xiuwen county, vegetables are harvested, pre-cooled, sorted, and packaged before being transported directly to central warehouses and community stores by logistics vehicles.
To ensure product freshness and quality, the group has established a standardized warehousing system covering 24,000 square meters. Through a digital management platform, the company has achieved full-process traceability for inventory, sorting, and delivery.
Wang Jun, head of warehousing and logistics at GAIG's Shuanggou Trading Co, said the system can monitor inventory levels, product shelf life, and other key information in real time while automatically triggering alerts, reducing losses, and improving delivery efficiency.
In 2025, the group's 72 fresh produce stores generated annual revenue of 241 million yuan ($35.51 million).
