The main stadium of the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center Phase II project, built by the Guiyang Investment Holding Group under the State-owned Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group, is nearing completion and will feature retractable seating stands.
The project has a total floor area of about 130,000 square meters and includes a main stadium, a warm-up hall, and supporting facilities. Designed to meet the standards of a Class-A mega sports venue, the stadium will provide a total of 11,341 seats.
When the retractable stands are extended, the venue can host finals for basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton, and table tennis competitions. When the stands are retracted, the space can accommodate preliminary badminton and gymnastics events.
The company maximized investment efficiency through three key measures: optimizing design plans to reduce unnecessary costs at the source, improving coordination between construction procedures with scientific scheduling, and precisely managing procurement.
Since the start of construction, the company has coordinated contractors, supervisors, and designers to optimize construction plans and ensure smooth progress. At peak periods, more than 1,000 workers were deployed on site daily, helping complete major works, including the main structure, steel framework, curtain walls, and roofing systems.
