Guiyang company makes great use of talent

In the first Guizhou Human Resources Service Competition held recently, State-owned Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group won the "Guizhou 2023 Outstanding Enterprise of Talent Development" – standing out from over 400 participating businesses.

The company was recognized for promoting the development of a pool of prime talent and for providing better career development paths for its employees.

To do so, the group has continued to improve an internal transfer system for the positions of its members of staff – attracting talent to give full play to their abilities in appropriate posts.

According to statistics, in 2022 the company recruited 1,635 people and completed 2,147 training sessions, involving a whopping 90,000 participants.

The Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group has also helped staff members to start up businesses, in the process stimulating its innovation vitality.

One example is Guiyang Xintian Optoelectronic Technology Co, a subsidiary of Guiyang Industrial Development Holding Group. In 2018, the unit renewed a co-development agreement for an academician workstation with Ye Shenghua, a professor at Tianjin University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

As a result, doctoral students, master's degree students and R&D personnel in the company formed a project team, improving the project's R&D ability.

To date, the holding group has established four national doctors' stations and two provincial academician stations.
