Guanshanhu district, fueled by the entry of Geely Auto, is rapidly emerging as a vital hub for the automotive industry. The district boasts 29 enterprises producing auto parts, batteries, seats, and stamped components, creating a dynamic supply chain ecosystem.
At the heart of this transformation is the Geely Galaxy E5, the first fully electric model produced at Geely's Guanshanhu manufacturing base. Launched in August, the E5 is built on the advanced GEA global smart electric architecture. This innovative vehicle symbolizes the factory's competitiveness and efficiency. Geely's vice-president Lou Yuanfa emphasized that the Guanshanhu facility exemplifies innovation and sets benchmarks in smart manufacturing.
The Galaxy E5's success is reverberating throughout the supply chain. For instance, Guiyang Ditong Auto Parts Co, located a kilometer from Geely's plant, operates at full capacity, producing up to 900 units daily. Similarly, Guiyang Shanju Battery Co, a key supplier of advanced battery packs for the E5, has scaled up production to meet the increasing demand.
With Geely as the linchpin of a robust network of suppliers, Guanshanhu district is driving a new era of automotive innovation, contributing to regional economic growth and advancing China's electric vehicle industry.
