At the resource deep-processing industry promotion session of the 2024 Guishang Development Conference on Oct 18, it was announced that Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province – are planning 52 industrial projects with a total investment of 29.8 billion yuan ($4.19 billion).
The projects cover sectors such as energy storage batteries, fine phosphorus chemicals and advanced aluminum processing.
At the meeting, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology introduced investment opportunities in the resource deep-processing industry. That was followed by officials from Guiyang, Tongren and Qiannan presenting key projects – including ventures in food-grade phosphates, automotive aluminum alloy castings and special gases.
Speakers highlighted Guizhou's favorable policies, rich natural resources and talent advantages.
Guo Zongzhi, chairman of local manufacturer Guizhou Guosu Technology Pipe Industry Co, said that Guizhou's support for business enterprises had strengthened overall confidence in the region's high-quality development.
Other business leaders also praised Guizhou's improving business environment – noting that the region's unique resources and favorable conditions were key factors in driving industrial growth and cooperation.
Overall, the collaborative effort aims to transform Guizhou's resource advantages into development opportunities – further enhancing the province's development.
