From January to July, Guiyang City in Southwest China's Guizhou province experienced robust economic growth, with thriving industries and bustling streets filled with tourists. The city's industrial production and tourism sector contributed significantly to its high-quality development.
During this period, Guiyang's industrial output above a designated size increased by 12.6 percent year-on-year, surpassing the national growth rate of 5.9 percent and the provincial rate of 8.2 percent. Among the city's 35 major industries, 24 saw growth, with 14 achieving double-digit increases.
Guizhou Huaren New Materials Co in Qingzhen city played a pivotal role in the aluminum industry, investing 700 million yuan ($98.68 million) to upgrade its energy-saving technologies, boosting aluminum production and achieving a 57.9-percent growth in industrial output in the first half of the year.
In Guanshanhu district, Zhong'an Technology Group focused on copper materials by constructing a project to enhance the energy industry supply chain.
In Huaxi district's Yanlou Industrial Park, Guizhou Tianzhiyuan Environmental Technology Co is advancing resource recycling. The company's digital system can dismantle and process 1,500 discarded appliances daily, turning waste into reusable materials.
On the tourism front, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area welcomed over 100 million tourists and generated 130 billion yuan in revenue, representing a 15-percent increase compared to last year.
