Guiyang HIDZ drives its dynamic industrial growth forwards

In Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, or Guiyang HIDZ, Guizhou Hangfei Precision Manufacturing Co has launched automated equipment for arm-type parts production, reducing labor and ensuring quality.

This integration consolidates tasks requiring seven workers and five machines into one automated process.

As a key supplier to leading aircraft engine manufacturer AECC Guizhou Liyang Aviation Power Co, Hangfei Precision supplies 80 percent of its products to AECC, playing a crucial role in what is called the Liyang Engine Ecosystem.

The Guiyang HIDZ leverages anchor companies to rapidly develop advanced equipment manufacturing clusters. The zone focuses on building industrial ecosystems like the Liyang Engine Ecosystem and the Linquan Motor Ecosystem, promoting technological innovation and digital transformation.

Hangfei Precision's close proximity to AECC Guizhou Liyang ensures efficient supply chain operations, with products delivered within five minutes. Weekly meetings between the companies discuss production, quality and management, reinforcing their close partnership.

In 2023, the Liyang Engine Ecosystem exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion) in the value of its output.

Overall, the Guiyang HIDZ is said to support leading business enterprises in establishing national key laboratories and manufacturing innovation centers.

The National Engineering Research Center for Precision Micro-Special Motors located there – led by Linquan Motor in collaboration with top universities – has generated an estimated 1.5 billion yuan-plus in direct economic benefits and more than 4 billion yuan in indirect economic benefits.
