China Unicom's Gui'an Data Center in Gui'an New Area is expanding its intelligent computing capabilities.
The center's upcoming smart computing building is projected to provide a computational capacity of 20.4 EFLOPS.
As a national East Data, West Computing program demonstration center and a key hub for China Unicom's intelligent computing network, the center currently operates 4,600 standard server cabinets.
Its robust computing power supports over 80 clients across various sectors – including government, internet giants, finance and large state-owned enterprises – with its service coverage extending nationwide.
In 2022, the center undertook two significant projects for the National Development and Reform Commission – focusing on autonomous and efficient computing power management – contributing to the nation's digital infrastructure and development.
Additionally, the center is widely said to benefit from China Unicom's national integrated computing power network, featuring ultra-high-speed transmission channels.
The backbone optical cable network stretches about 57,000 kilometers, enhancing Guizhou's internet bandwidth from 4800G to 6600G with latencies between 3-18 milliseconds.
The recently completed direct optical fiber link between Guiyang and Guangzhou is understood to further reduce the latency to approximately 6.2 milliseconds – strengthening connectivity between Guizhou and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region.
