Gui'an New Area has strategically integrated the construction of comprehensive pilot zones with its big data initiatives in recent years, a process it is continuing to implement to this day.

What's more, it is actively fulfilling the experimental tasks of the National Big Data (Guizhou) Comprehensive Pilot Zone. It is doing so by establishing computing power assurance bases and smart computing centers –focusing on "smart computing, industry-scale model cultivation and data training" – leading to significant developments in the digital economy.

The Gui'an New Area has concentrated on three major bases – a national-level computing power assurance base, a new energy vehicles and battery materials production base and a vital industrial backup base – forming a trio of major industry clusters and witnessing rapid industrial development.

It has deployed 95,800 smart computing cards, with a computing power scale reaching 30.7 Eflops, making it one of the strongest regions in smart computing capabilities nationwide.

Leveraging projects from companies like CATL and BYD, Gui'an's new energy vehicles, batteries and materials industry supply chains have begun to take shape, experiencing fast-paced growth and evolution.

With efforts to become a crucial industrial backup base nationally, Gui'an has seen accelerated capacity releases in aerospace precision casting and other sectors. That's alongside the green equipment production of key business enterprises like CRRC Times Electric – all driving 19-percent year-on-year growth in equipment manufacturing output in 2023.
