Gui'an, Huawei partner to advance large model industrialization

Huawei Technologies Co signed a strategic cooperation agreement on May 18 with Guizhou Gui'an Development Group Co – based in the Gui'an New Area, located near Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to advance the industrialization of large models.

The collaboration will focus on digitalizing the industrial sector and leveraging a raft of cutting-edge data elements.

By integrating their business and technical innovation strengths, the partnership aims to accelerate the application of big data and artificial intelligence, or AI across the entire industrial value chain.

The move is expected to totally transform various industries by incorporating advanced data and AI technologies.

Based on Huawei's existing solid foundation in Guizhou, the partnership will emphasize AI's role in the local industrial sector, developing high-quality datasets to facilitate digital transformation and industry upgrades.

Under the terms of the agreement, Huawei will provide technical and talent support to aid the Gui'an company in industrial design and marketing within Guizhou.

The collaboration will also explore commercial models for new technologies and products, aiming to integrate into each other's ecosystems quickly.

Huawei, with its extensive software and hardware capabilities, is said to have already significantly contributed to Guizhou's digital economy.

In recent years, its technology has established a secure and reliable digital infrastructure in the province, fostering a strong cooperative relationship with Gui'an.

In line with the Gui'an New Area's strategic goals, the partnership will operate under a "one headquarters, two bases, three centers" framework.

This cooperation aims to encourage resource sharing and complement each other's strengths – driving the development of Guizhou's digital economy forwards and contributing to high-quality regional growth.
