Guizhou welcomes 16 industrial heritage projects to provincial list

According to the "Guizhou Industrial Heritage Management Measures", the Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has recognized its first batch of Guizhou provincial industrial heritage projects.

Of the 16 newly recognized projects, some highlights are the Guizhou Transistor Factory project, the Hongfeng Power Plant project, and the Moutai Liquor Brewery project.

The Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Guizhou Industrial Heritage Management Measures" at the end of 2023 to promote the protection and utilization of industrial heritage in the province. The aim of these measures is to salvage and protect important industrial heritage that embodies excellent traditional culture, uphold "red genes", and inherit the province's industrial spirit.

The application process for this first batch of Guizhou provincial industrial heritage projects involved voluntary applications from heritage owners, recommendations from relevant municipal (prefectural) industrial and information technology authorities, expert evaluations, on-site inspections, and online public announcements.

Of the 16 selected Guizhou provincial industrial heritage projects, some will also be recommended for the sixth batch of national industrial heritage project list. This recommendation will be based on the project's heritage value, preservation status, and management level.

The relevant authorities in the industrial and information technology sectors are committed to strengthening the protection and management of Guizhou's industrial heritage. They are creating new ways to revitalize and utilize existing resources, promote excellent industrial culture, and actively advance the inheritance and development of Guizhou's industrial culture.
