Gui'an New Area commences construction on 14 major projects

A total of 14 major projects have commenced construction this year in Gui'an New Area, with a combined investment of 9.06 billion yuan ($1.26 billion). The area's large-scale industrial enterprises and ongoing industrial projects have all achieved a 100-percent resumption of work and production.

At the construction site of the Tianhetan Station-Shibanzhen Station section of Phase 1 of the S1 Metro Line in Guiyang, the roar of machinery and the sparks of welding create a busy scene. "Currently, this section has entered its track-laying stage. The closer we get to the end, the more we cannot slack off," said Li Zhaoyang, chief engineer of the section.

In the High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park of Gui'an New Area, companies have successively resumed work and production after the Spring Festival holiday.

Inside the production workshop of FAI Electronics (Guizhou) Co, 13 automated production lines are operating at full capacity. "We expect a revenue of 48 million yuan in the first quarter, and we are very confident about this year's market," said Wang Yang, manager of the company's comprehensive management department.

On the other hand, 40 large-scale industrial enterprises in the Gui'an Free Trade Zone have all resumed work and production as of Feb 24. Currently, all the enterprises in the zone are working at full capacity to strive for a prosperous start to the year.
