Guiyang prioritizes enterprise innovation

In recent years, Guiyang has been working to help enterprises establish technological innovation platforms, such as a corporate technology center, to enhance their technological innovation capabilities, and formed three-level technological innovation platform cultivation mechanisms, encompassing the national, provincial, and municipal levels.

The identification of municipal-level corporate technology centers not only further strengthens the pivotal role of these enterprises in technological innovation, but also promotes the development of the provincial-level technological innovation platform.

As of Oct 20, a total of 28 corporate technology centers were certified at the municipal level and 10 at the provincial level. Among the 10, nine are industrial enterprises and five are upgraded from the municipal level.

Since the initiation of municipal-level corporate technology center certification in the province in 2021, a cumulative total of 84 such centers have been certified.

According to the Guiyang Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, after certification, corporate technology centers are responsible for developing enterprise technological innovation plans, conducting industrial technology research and development, creating and utilizing intellectual property, establishing technical standards systems, nurturing innovative talent, building collaborative innovation networks, and advancing the full-process implementation of technological innovation.

Moreover, the certification of corporate technology centers encourages industrial enterprises to prioritize innovation, engage in research and development, and provide robust technological support for their sustained development and industrial transformation and upgrading.
