Guiyang, Guian to boost development of electronic information manufacturing

Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province recently rolled out action plans for the development of the electronic information manufacturing industry from 2022-25.

According to the plans, by 2025, the total output value of the electronic information manufacturing industry in Guiyang and Guian is projected to exceed 100 billion yuan ($15.67 billion).

Intelligent terminals, electronic components and servers should become the three pillar industries of the electronic information manufacturing industry in Guiyang and Guian.

There should be more than 28 innovation platforms (key laboratories, engineering technology research centers, and enterprise technology centers) above the provincial level in the sector.

To achieve the above-mentioned goals, Guiyang and Guian will make efforts in several aspects.

Leading enterprises such as China Zhenhua Electronics Group Co will be supported in developing key electronic components and modules, and key enterprises such as Guiyang Hisense Electronics Co will be encouraged to carry out key process technologies such as ultra-high-definition and curved display.

With a focus on the fields of intelligent terminals, servers, and electronic components, Guiyang and Guian will improve support for local components in the midstream, drive the development of upstream electronic components, and build an electronic information manufacturing industry cluster.

Leading enterprises, scientific research institutes, universities and industry organizations will be supported in establishing innovation centers in electronic information-related industries, promoting the construction of innovation centers, and actively applying for provincial and national level innovation centers.

Guiyang and Guian will also cultivate a group of skilled workers specializing in the sector, and cultivate a group of disciplined leaders with strong innovation abilities.

Meanwhile, electronic information product achievement demonstrations and cutting-edge technology seminars will be organized, relying on the high-level exchange and cooperation platform provided by the China International Big Data Industry Expo.
