The province of Guizhou in Southwest China is reportedly moving to attract more investment to its industrial parks.
According to Guizhou's investment promotions department, during the first nine months of the year, the province's industrial parks attracted 4,636 new projects, started construction on 2,412 projects and started operations at 1,972 projects.
Of the 4,636 newcomers, 1,928 are industrial projects with a contract value of 442.23 billion yuan ($69.17 billion).
During the period, the industrial parks also attracted 1,113 high-quality enterprises to move there, 661 of which involved industrial investment.
Since the start of the year, Guizhou's investment promotions department has used a raft of national exhibitions as marketing platforms and organized for its teams to attract investment in Beijing, Guangdong and Chongqing.
The department also stationed investment teams in South China's Guangdong province. By the end of September, the fourth group of Guizhou investment teams had visited 8,529 companies and business associations, inviting 1,873 enterprises to visit Guizhou and survey its business environment.
To meet the investment demands of its industry supply chains, Guizhou's industrial parks launched 3,318 investment attraction projects, which have reportedly attracted the interest of a slew of enterprises.
Moving forwards, plans are for Guizhou to continue to assist with the investment marketing of its industrial parks and to promote high-quality investment projects.
