As of Feb 23, all 710 industrial enterprises above a designated size -- those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.89 million) or more -- in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, had resumed work and production.
That was 16 days in advance compared with last year and in addition, 128 industrial projects under construction in the city resumed work on Feb 22, 17 days ahead of the same period last year.
Before and after the Spring Festival, the Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology set up seven working groups to carry out fact-finding visits to businesses and implement resumption of production assistance for enterprises.
Officials reported that during this year's Spring Festival holiday, 136 industrial enterprises above a designated size in the city maintained continuous production.
