Over the seven-day holiday, more than 30,000 workers stayed on duty to promote the industrial economy.
On Feb 12, the first day of the Lunar New Year, Guizhou Chalco Aluminum Co worked overtime at full capacity.
Wu Shaobin, assistant general manager of Guizhou Chalco Aluminum Co, said that the company plans to complete an output volume of 95,000 metric tons and an output value of 1.6 billion yuan this year.
Before the Spring Festival, Guiyang's municipal bureau of industry and information technology issued rules for applying electricity fee subsidies for industrial enterprises above a designated size during the Spring Festival. The intention was to encourage employees to spend the holiday locally and increase production and efficiency during the holiday.
It has been clarified that those who worked overtime from Feb 11-17 will be provided with electricity fee subsidies.
