From a small unknown company to a national high-tech enterprise engaged in the design and production of full-size touch screens, Guizhou Touchworks Optoelectronics Co's development received strong support from Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
"The company settled in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in 2012. The government departments at all levels in Guiyang have given great support in terms of handling preparations for production procedures, research and development, taxation and other policies," said Pan Xinli, a factory director of Guizhou Touchworks Optoelectronics Co.
At present, the enterprise has established the world's first seventh-generation touch screen intelligent production line in Guizhou. It has achieved full coverage of various touch screens ranging in size from 1 inch to 100 inches.
It has maintained cooperation with well-known brands in the industry such as Transsion, TCL and Changhong, and 30 percent of its products have been exported overseas.
Guiyang has actively guided the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) towards specialization and refinement in recent years.
The city issued an action plan to improve the service mechanism and service quality for SMEs in July 2020, covering services related to policy, technology, entrepreneurship, training, financing, market development and digital empowerment.
Moving forwards, Guiyang will continue to increase financial support for SMEs, explore diversified and innovative service models and contribute to the real economy's high-quality development.
