A voluntary service activity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was held in Guanshanhu district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 30.
Volunteer service experts answered questions from representatives of 36 SMEs in the city, on a theme of promoting the development of SMEs through intellectual property.
The activity launched the seven 'special service actions' of Guiyang, designed to improve service mechanisms and service quality for SMEs.
Hosted by the Guiyang bureau of industry and information technology, the special service actions aim to give full play to the roles of the public service system and social forces for the benefit of SMEs.
Over the next three years, the bureau will organize service actions in relation to policies, technologies, entrepreneurship, financing, and market development, in order to provide support and guarantees for the sustainable development of SMEs.
Through voluntary service action measures, Guiyang strives to achieve a total output value of 160 billion yuan ($22.81 billion) in small and medium-sized industrial enterprises above designated size by 2022, accounting for 45 percent of the total of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size - that is, those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more.
Also, 100 small and medium-sized industrial enterprises above designated size will be added every year, and the number of provincial-level specialized and newly-cultivated enterprises will reach 300 by 2022.
