The Guiyang division of the 2020 "Maker in China" Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition final was held from June 11 to 13.
Hosted by Guiyang bureau of industry and information technology, the competition attracted a total of 110 projects, with 74 of them reaching the final. Fifty five of these were from the enterprise group and 19 were from the maker group.

The projects included those related to the prevention and control of COVID-19 and major emerging industries such as digital economy, pharmaceutical manufacturing and advanced equipment manufacturing.
The final consisted of a 5-minute presentation and a 5-minute on-site defense. The experts then scored the projects in terms of the business plan and the performance during the defense.

The experts finally selected 30 of the best projects to represent Guiyang city in the quarter-final leg for Guizhou province.
In order to stimulate the creativity of college students, the organizing committee of the competition has set up a special college student event, providing a platform for communication for college student teams that have not entered the final.
An expert team was also invited to provide guidance for those projects.
