Guiyang company's digital factory construction project completes acceptance

The first phase of the intelligent manufacturing digital factory construction project of Guiyang Xianfeng Machine Tool was officially accepted on May 13 as a demonstration project of the Guiyang intelligent manufacturing collaborative sharing platform, according to Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology.

Guiyang Xianfeng Machine Tool Co is a pioneer in the machinery manufacturing industry in Southwest China's Guizhou province, and a core enterprise in China's machine tool manufacturing industry.

It is primarily engaged in the design and manufacture of roll grinders, guideway grinders, centerless grinders, presses, and roll forging machines.

In January this year, the company's digital factory construction project began trial operation. Through technologies including cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, it supervises and controls the production process and product quality to enhance the company's intelligent manufacturing capabilities.

It also enables collaborative innovation in product design, manufacturing, transportation, and marketing, increasing the manufacturing capacity of the company to the high-end level.

Since its trial operation, the company's production cycle has been shortened by about 20 percent, the defective product rate has decreased by six percent, the inventory turnover rate has increased by 30 percent, and the raw material inventory has decreased by 10 percent.
