Industrial enterprises in Guiyang HIDZ continue to work over May Day holiday

Industrial enterprises above a designated size in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, remained in normal operation during the May Day holiday, which lasted from May 1-5.

It is estimated that the output value of these enterprises reached more than 67 million yuan ($9.47 billion).

"China's 5G market is developing rapidly this year, and our orders have increased. In order to ensure that orders are delivered on time, we are working overtime to catch up with production," said Deng Shichun, general manager assistant of Guizhou Shunluo Xunbda Electronics Co.

The company arranged nearly 300 employees to work during the May Day holiday. At present, 60 million inductor products have been produced, and output value has reached nearly 7 million yuan.

Through careful planning and precise measures, Guizhou Aerospace Linquan Motor Co achieved growth in the first quarter of 2020, completing an output value of 196 million yuan. It is expected to achieve output value of 270 million yuan in the second quarter.

According to incomplete statistics, there were 14 industrial enterprises above designated size working overtime during the May Day holiday in Guiyang HIDZ, with a total of more than 7,200 employees, and preliminary estimates of their output value reaching 67 million yuan ($9.47 billion).
