Guiyang sees Q1 increase of 4.9 percent in industrial added value

In the first quarter of 2020, the added value of industries above a designated size in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, saw a year-on-year increase of 4.9 percent.

The growth rate during the period increased by 2.4 percentage points from January to February - 6.7 and 13.2 percentage points higher respectively than the province's and the country's growth rates.

In addition, the growth rate ranked second among the ten provincial capital cities of West China, one place higher than the same period last year. It also ranked second in the province, up five places from the same period last year.
