In the wake of the launch of its policy support fund at the end of February and the beginning of March, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, moved promptly and decisively to allocate 5.97 million yuan ($849,418) to 57 companies on April 1.
In February, the GETDZ issued 10 measures to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, helping them reduce the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.
Under the new measures, policy support funds this time include special funds for loan discounts subsidies and big data industry development funds.
Officials said the zone is also actively organizing matchmaking meetings between the government, banks and businesses to provide financial institutions and enterprises with convenient and efficient financing services, and it is helping companies solve their financing needs.
To date, the GETDZ has provided support funds of more than 40 million yuan to nearly 100 enterprises.
