Guiyang launches more measures for firms resuming work

As of 4 pm on Feb 21, 605 of the 760 industrial companies above a designated size, with annual sales of 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) or more -- in Guiyang had resumed production, with output at 84.1 percent of normal levels.

That's according to the Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology, in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Among the 166 industrial projects under construction in the city, 102 have restarted construction, with a resumption rate of 61.45 percent.

Officials said that of industrial enterprises that had returned to work, power production and supplies in key industries and tobacco manufacturing have totally resumed; specialty food and pharmaceuticals manufacturing industries had resumed more than 90 percent.

Producers in the phosphate coal chemicals industry, equipment manufacturing, aluminum and aluminum processing and rubber plastic products has resumed more than 80 percent of normal levels.

Officials said industries producing chemical reagents and auxiliaries, cement, as well as gas production and supply, water production and supply and hazardous chemicals were back up to 73.6 percent.

Recently, the Guiyang municipal bureau of industry and information technology accelerated implementation of measures to support the stable development of businesses during the epidemic prevention and control period, issued by the municipal government.

From Feb 25, small, medium and micro enterprises in the city were allowed to apply for and issue a total of 10 million yuan in electronic coupons, through the Guiyang SME Service Cloud Platform.

This is for 58 services related to investment and financing, entrepreneurship, recruitment and training, technological innovation and quality, management consulting, market developments and legal services.

Officials said that in addition, during the coronavirus epidemic prevention and control period, companies that actively participate in epidemic prevention and control, quickly release production capacity, assume social responsibility and make outstanding contributions, will be given certain financial subsidies.
