As of March 31, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province will start work on 55 new projects in April, with a planned total investment of 18.74 billion yuan ($2.72 billion).
This year marks the end year of the seventh national civilization city creation period (2021-23).
A conference themed on Guangdong Enterprises Helping Guizhou in Rural Vitalization Efforts was held in Guiyang on April 6. Four contracts were signed at the conference.
More than 500 million yuan ($72.74 million) has been invested into the two regions, and 113 projects have been carried out in 105 villages.
The work results of the whole province in the 2022 investment promotion evaluation and business environment optimization were announced, with Guiyang ranking first in both categories.
The "Exploring the Construction of the Digital Silk Road Trading Port" project, which was submitted by Guiyang and Guian New Area, was selected and promoted nationwide.
