Guiyang city and Gui'an New Area are emerging as powerhouses in China's digital economy. Using its abundant hydropower resources, cool climate, and stable geological conditions, the region has rapidly developed its big data industry and established itself as a rising star in the digital field.
A major milestone in this journey is the China International Big Data Industry Expo, the world's first national-level expo dedicated to big data. Held in Guiyang, the event has been running for 10 years and serves as a global platform for businesses to collaborate, showcase technologies, and exchange cutting-edge ideas.
The region's digital industry is thriving, with key enterprises such as Apple, Intel, Huawei, and Alibaba establishing projects in Guiyang and Gui'an. Additionally, local firms like Manbang Group and Baishan Cloud have become major big data players. The area has also pioneered digital governance initiatives, such as the "One-Stop Service" system, which streamlines citywide government services through data-sharing platforms.
As Guiyang and Gui'an continue to enhance computing power, energize industries, and develop a robust digital ecosystem, they position themselves as China's "Data Valley", driving high-quality growth in the digital economy. The 2024 Big Data Expo further cements their role as global leaders in digital innovation.
