Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have actively promoted new urbanization, focusing on the "strong province, strong city" initiative.
The strategy emphasizes a people-centered approach – ensuring coordinated development between urban and rural areas – and aims for a healthier, more livable and happier community.
Recently, the S1 line of the urban rail transit system reached a significant milestone, passing acceptance testing and preparing for trial operations.
Spanning 30.32 kilometers with 13 stations, the line is projected to enhance connectivity between Gui'an New Area and central Guiyang, improving transportation efficiency.
Beyond transportation, Guiyang is rapidly advancing its urban quality through various initiatives – including the creation of 140 "15-minute living circles" and the addition of 75,000 public parking spaces.
New commercial projects like The Mixc shopping center have transformed the local retail landscape, attracting over 370 brands, many of which are making their debut in the city.
Guiyang's strategic focus on diverse economic sectors – such as logistics, the digital economy and the headquarters economy – is widely said to have strengthened its economic foundation.
With a growing population of over 6.5 million, Guiyang and Gui'an are becoming increasingly attractive to young talent, supporting the region's ambitious urbanization goals and vibrant community development.
