Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Guizhou province have outlined their 2024 agricultural and rural development strategies in order to strengthen food security and its supply of essential agricultural products.
These include emphasizing stable grain production, ensuring supply, promoting high-quality seed varieties, stimulating market activity, and fostering collaborative efforts.
Reforms have also been set to invigorate rural development. They emphasize the efficient use of arable land, the development of forested areas, the revitalization of residential land, and the utilization of collectively owned construction land.
Additionally, Guiyang and Gui'an aim to boost rural income through the enhancement of collective economic revenue.
Efforts to prevent a return to poverty include the implementation of detection and support mechanisms, the continuous reinforcement of industrial and employment assistance, and the refinement of collaborative support mechanisms.
These initiatives signify a comprehensive approach to rural development, aiming to enhance agricultural productivity, revitalize rural areas, and improve the livelihoods of farmers and residents in Guiyang and Gui'an.
