In recent years, Guiyang City and Guian New Area have been deepening the integration of big data and agriculture through digital technology to promote the intelligent transformation of agricultural production.

Nowadays, mobile phones have become new "agricultural tools"; livestreaming has become a new form of "agricultural work", and data have become a new "agricultural asset". These changes have offered a new way for villagers to earn money.

In 2017, Shanwangmiao village in Huaxi district planted over 300 mu (20 hectares) of different fruits such as yellow peaches and grapes. However, in the first few years, the village failed to sell its fruit. This year, a short video blogger named Dai Fan started a three-hour livestream in a local orchard and sold 13.5 metric tons of yellow peaches. During the delivery period, more than 200 boxes of yellow peaches needed to be picked and packed every day, helping more than 100 local villagers to find employment.

Moving forward, the village plans to cultivate its own "e-commerce masters" to promote local fruit selling and promote local brands through livestreaming.

"Helping farmers" livestreams have become an effective way to promote rural vitalization. At the same time, "Cun Cun", a digital release platform of idle rural farm housing information, has advanced the revitalization of idle rural homesteads and farm houses.

Recently, the platform has undergone another round of upgrades and updates, offering a one-stop solution that includes idle house data sourcing, attracting private capital investment, and transforming houses into operational homestays.

The application of "Cun Cun" has not only improved the appearance of rural areas, but also utilized idle rural resources and increased the incomes of villagers.
