Over the past decade, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has experienced rapid development.
In 2013, with the completion and opening of the T2 terminal, the airport's passenger guarantee capacity increased from 5 million to 15.5 million, and in 2017, the airport's passenger throughput exceeded 18 million.

In 2018, the airport's passenger throughput exceeded 20 million, ranking among the busiest airports in China.
The airport's third-phase reconstruction and expansion project was completed and put into use in 2021. So far, the airport has opened a total of 234 domestic routes and 21 international routes to 136 cities around the world.
The airport has maintained high-quality services for many years.
