Wudang district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is developing a sound industrial system and a good living environment.
The district is currently expanding the development of industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, food processing, the modern service industry and the digital economy.
In the first half of this year, the GDP of Wudang reached 9.30 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4 percent.
The added value of the primary industry was 938 million yuan, an increase of 5.3 percent year-on-year; the added value of the secondary industry was 4.97 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6 percent; and the added value of the tertiary industry was 3.39 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1 percent.
The secondary and tertiary industries of Wudang accounted for more than 90 percent of the district's industrial system, and breakthroughs have been made in Wudang's supply-side structural reforms, while the economic structure has been continuously optimized.

As of July, the number of market entities in Wudang had reached 26,190. This year, 2,590 new market entities were established, with a net increase of 1,677 market entities. Among them were 318 enterprises, accounting for 18.96 percent of all new market entities.
While boosting the development of its economy, Wudang has made great efforts to improve its quality of life.
From 2021 to 2022, 113 projects involving education, culture, sports, healthcare, dining, accommodation, travel and elderly care have started construction, with 58 projects costing 1.11 billion yuan being finished.
Meanwhile, Wudang has spent 6.35 million yuan to build five waste water treatment projects in five villages.
In the first half of this year, a total of 3,600 positions were provided to Wudang residents living in the urban area.
