Responsibilities: 

The price and charge management department implements the price reform of important commodities, and formulates price management measures; examines and approves the price of commodities such as water and gas according to law; offers price guidance to important agricultural and sideline products and agricultural production materials in accordance with relevant national and provincial requirements; works on price information construction; tracks the impact of important national economic policies on price and gives feedback; and conducts price supervision policy guidance for market-priced commodities. The responsibilities of the department also include implementing charging management methods and programs, and charging administrative fees and operating service charges in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State and the province; formulating charge items and setting price for public welfare services, public utilities, education, intermediary services, real estate, and tourism; guiding and coordinating the price of business services subject to market regulation; and taking responsibility of putting an end to unauthorized quotas and fines to reduce the burden on enterprises and people.
