Rural Economy Department

Responsibilities:

The rural economy department studies and plans the development of rural economy, optimizes the layout of agricultural productivity, and monitors the development of agriculture and rural economy; proposes rural economic development strategies and reforms of rural economic system; coordinates agriculture, forestry, gardening, water, and meteorology planning and policies; participates in the preparation of the water balance and conservation planning, and the ecological restoration protection and construction planning; conducts examination, approval, and registration of related projects; works with relevant departments in agricultural disaster relief and disaster prevention work; and makes efforts in poverty alleviation and development. The department undertakes the daily work of the Guiyang Municipal rocky desertification comprehensive prevention leading group.
