Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently launched a plan for the development goals and key tasks of the New Land-Sea Corridor construction.
According to the plan, Guiyang will promote the construction of various railway and logistics hub projects in 2020.
With the Shuanglong-Gaimao comprehensive logistics hub area set to be completed and the Guiyang railway port set to be put into operation, the railway-sea and multimodal transportation will be connected, while the clearance efficiency will be improved.
By 2025, Guiyang's Dulaying international land-sea logistics port will be established, while the main line transportation, regional distribution, logistics information, multimodal transport, and logistics services will be improved.
Guiyang will become a national logistics hub with stronger transportation capacity, a more reasonable hub layout, and more convenient multimodal transportation. Guiyang will realize synergistic development with neighboring areas, and more than 1 billion metric tons of goods will be transported by various transportation modes, including 60 million metric tons by railway.
By 2035, Guiyang will establish a modern comprehensive transportation system that will be tops in China. A global express logistics circle will be established, which means that goods will be delivered in one day to domestic cities, two days to surrounding countries, and three days to major international cities.
More than 2.6 billion tons of goods will be transported by various transportation modes, including 140 million tons by railway.
The launch of the plan is expected to expand Guiyang's opening-up, allow Guiyang to participate in domestic and international cooperation and competition, improve Guiyang's urban and economic primacy ratio, as well as help Guiyang become a city of high and medium-end consumption goods, trade, and manufacturing.
