Since the beginning of this year, Baiyun district in Guiyang city has actively explored the "forest chief + prosecutor general" collaboration mechanism to protect and develop forest resources.
This initiative aims to coordinate forestry administrative law enforcement with prosecutorial supervision functions, uniting efforts to protect forest resources and safeguard Baiyun's beauty and ecological greenery.
Through a "cooperation + protection" model, Baiyun district has enhanced collaborative efforts among prosecutorial, public security, and forestry departments. Effective mechanisms, such as judicial intervention by prosecutorial agencies in the forest chief system and embedded prosecutorial supervision collaboration, have been actively explored.
The district has fully utilized the functions of criminal prosecution, public interest litigation, and administrative prosecutorial supervision to conduct environmental management of mining areas. Through coordinated efforts between functional departments and local governments, investigations have been undertaken in illegal mining areas, and various effective measures for ecological environment restoration have been implemented.
Furthermore, Baiyun district has strengthened legal publicity efforts for forestry ecological protection. The chief prosecutor of the district's procuratorate has led teams to promote legal knowledge and the functions of public interest litigation in towns, communities, and villages to enhance awareness and encourage all citizens to participate in safeguarding forest resources.
