The first phase of the Guiyang Metro S1 Line held an acceptance ceremony for its first electric passenger train on Jan 5, marking a crucial step towards a high-quality integrated transportation network in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area.
The electric passenger train, known as a B2 type train, consists of six carriages. This includes four motor carriages and two trailer cars. It has a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a maximum passenger capacity of 2,048.
With a total length of 120 meters, width of 2.88 meters, and height of 3.8 meters, the train is constructed with an overall load-bearing aluminum alloy that weighs 200 metric tons.
The train adopts a domestically-developed braking system, bogie system, and network, all of which have independent intellectual property rights. It uses permanent magnet synchronous motors that feature compact designs and great energy efficiency.
The overall design style of the trains combines elements of Guizhou's ethnic culture and architecture.
The first delivered electric passenger train of Guiyang Metro S1 Line meets national first-class standards in terms of safety, comfort, intelligent features, and acceleration and deceleration performance.
Above the doors of the train compartments, 43-inch LCD dynamic maps have been installed, which are currently the largest in China. The Guiyang Metro S1 Line is expected to commence initial operation by the end of this year, as scheduled.
