Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, strives to achieve a total industrial output value of 22.6 billion yuan ($3.29 billion) this year, according to local media reports.
The added value of industries above a designated size will be 3.95 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15 percent.
This year, Baiyun district will vigorously develop its key industries.
It will focus on industries, such as automotive electronics and electronic medical equipment, and strive to build a gathering base for electronic component enterprises in the province.
Jucheng's LCOS chip production line will be completed and put into operation by the end of March. Further support will also be given towards the construction of Jiaying New Energy's upgraded lithium battery PACK production line.
The district will strive to achieve an output value of 1.97 billion yuan in the electronic information manufacturing industry, a year-on-year increase of 146 percent, which will account for 8 percent of the total industrial output value above a designated size.
On the other hand, it will continue to promote the expansion of characteristic industries, focusing on the intensive processing of beverages, snack foods, prepared dishes and edible fungi. It will also continue to develop its characteristic food industry.
The output value of Baiyun's characteristic food industry is expected to reach 4.43 billion yuan, an increase of 51.18 percent, and will account for more than 18 percent of the total industrial output value above a designated size.
