Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is making strides in promoting the city to develop into a national food safety demonstration city, through measures of strengthening promotion and training sessions, according to Guiyang news networks.

The district has increased the public's awareness of the establishment of a national food safety demonstration city by playing promotional videos, posting promotional posters, and hanging promotional banners.

Food production and operation enterprises, large supermarkets, and agricultural product markets in the jurisdiction are encouraged to participate in the publicity activities.

The district's market supervision bureau further enhances the food safety awareness of operators and the public through a combination of daily supervision, inspections, visits, guidance and publicity.
