The Baiyun district of Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province has raised its profile – as well as greatly expanded its tourism appeal – through the recent launch of top-quality spring tourism destinations. Let's check out some of the springtime natural wonders in the area:
Top of the list is Quanhu Park, a national 5A-level tourist attraction with a lake, wetlands, lawns and other attractions. In February and March, succulents will go on show there, which can be purchased. In addition, in Fanhuali town, there is a breathtaking rose fall.

If flowers are really your thing, you can enjoy more of them at Penglai town located in Niuchang village. There are wonderful varieties of flowers growing in profusion, to be seen from March to July. Peach blossoms, plum blossoms and pear blossoms vie with each other to welcome spring, while the lotuses hold back to bloom in summer.
In April, blooming roses and hydrangeas cover an area of 12 mu (0.8 hectares) in Momo's Garden. Besides taking photos of them, you can also have a great time frolicking in the water, having a barbecue and watching various performances staged there – or going camping and buying things at a food fair and a goods fair.

In addition, Shilong and Wayao towns are also recommended options for leisure. Every year, thousands of folks flock to Shilong town for its cherry blossoms or to Wayao town for its vibrantly colored rapeseed.

Spring in Baiyun not only offers a feast for the eyes, but also festivals with outdoor activities and food. In April, there is an international kite festival that will attract participants from home and abroad. And starting from March, visitors will get the chance to taste different kinds of culinary specialties made of flowers, such as the lotus pancake.
Moreover, during February and March, over 10 modern music concerts are scheduled to take place in the local STartz Art Zone.
