Tiaochang Festival was recently celebrated in Duxi village of Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
A Miao tradition, Tiaochang Festival has a history of more than 400 years and is celebrated every three years to worship ancestors and pray for peace and prosperity.
It is also an important courtship ritual that offers chances for young people to show off their finest embroidery and dance, and participate in lusheng reed pipe-playing competitions.
Over the course of three days, a total of 35 teams from Guiyang's districts and counties participated in the festival and gave a number of performances.
