Integration of big data, real economy boosts Baiyun's development

The integration of big data and the real economy in Baiyun district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made big progress last year.

As of Dec 26, 2022, Baiyun had implemented a total of 120 big data and real economy integration projects, driving 258 enterprises to integrate, transform and upgrade.

In recent years, Baiyun has launched various big data solutions in the fields of equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture, and the cultural and tourism industries. Many of these have become benchmark demonstration projects at provincial and municipal levels.

Among these projects is a smart power big data platform developed by Baiyun's resident enterprise Weimo Electricity. This platform saves time by 90 percent when compared with traditional manual management, and has an accuracy of 96.5 percent when monitoring and investigating.

In addition, Dadongfeng Machinery Co has launched a smart factory project based on Weimo Electricity's big data platform, which is said to increase its production capacity by more than 30 percent when it becomes fully operational.
