A total of four high-voltage wiring harness production lines funded by Chinese auto producer and manufacturer BYD Co have been put into use in Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
In July this year, BYD Co signed an investment deal with Baiyun district to establish a wiring harness project in the Baiyun Economic Development Zone.
The total planned investment for the project is 400 million yuan ($57.14 million), and it is designed to cover an area of 63 mu, with more than 50,000 square meters of workshops and supporting buildings.
Thirty-two production lines for wire harness products will be established.

On Sept 30, the first production line of the wiring harness project successfully started operating.
All the production lines are expected to be put into production by the end of this year and achieve full production by June 2023.
When all the product lines are put into production, the annual output value is expected to hit 1.5 billion yuan, and about 3,000 work opportunities will be offered.
Tang Yue, head of Baiyun district, said that the project is playing an essential role in pushing forward industrial upgrading in the district and advancing new-type industrialization.
