Modern elderly nursing system takes shape in Baiyun

A modern elderly nursing system has gradually taken shape in Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Currently, Baiyun provides multiple elderly nursing services for its residents, from elderly care service complexes that serve mid-to-high-end customers, to community elderly care service stations that serve lower-income individuals.

The Guizhou Smart Community Health Promotion Center in Baiyun is a symbol of Baiyun's efforts to enrich the lives of its elderly residents.

The center covers a total area of around 1,000 square meters in Baiyun's Dashandong sub-district and houses a comprehensive sports and health venue. It is equipped with a number of intelligent elderly-friendly equipment, and provides the elderly with one-stop sports and wellness services involving physical fitness testing, basic health testing, scientific fitness guidance, chronic disease exercise intervention, sports rehabilitation training, and health knowledge popularization.

It can serve elderly people from residential communities within a 1.5 km radius.

Chen Mingde, an elderly resident living near the center, is a regular visitor. She said she can not only exercise at the center, but also make friends through the activities organized by the center.
