Scientific research, technological innovation deliver results in Baiyun

Baiyun district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made significant progress in boosting technological innovation and scientific research.

Baiyun is currently home to 85 scientific and technological innovation R&D platforms at or above the municipal level, including 21 at the national level, 50 at the provincial level and 14 at the municipal level.

To stimulate the vitality of regional innovation and entrepreneurship, Baiyun has made great efforts to build a scientific and technological innovation policy system.

It has successively formulated the Ten Measures for Scientific and Technological Innovation in Baiyun District, the Implementation Process of Ten Measures for Scientific and Technological Innovation in Baiyun District, and the Baiyun District High-tech Enterprise Post-subsidy Fund Cashing Process.

It has also improved the Baiyun District Applied Technology Fund Management Measures and other fund and project management documents.

Since 2020, Baiyun has provided financial support for 11 district-level scientific and technological achievement commercialization and industrialization projects, one district-level scientific and technological achievement commercialization demonstration base, and three district-level scientific and technological innovation towns.

In terms of the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, Baiyun has accelerated the in-depth integration of big data with industry, agriculture and service industries, and encouraged enterprises under its jurisdiction to apply for big data technology projects.

So far, 20 big data technology projects have been established in Baiyun.
